Linking Companies Together
The Company Network feature allows businesses to form partnerships within Hydra. Link with suppliers, subcontractors, or sister companies to streamline collaboration and share work seamlessly.
What is Company Linking?
Company linking creates a formal connection between two Hydra companies, enabling:
- Work referrals - Send jobs to partner companies
- Shared visibility - See partner availability and capacity
- Streamlined communication - Direct messaging between teams
- Unified tracking - Monitor referred jobs across companies

Requirements for Linking
To use company networking, you need:
- Ultra plan subscription on your company
- Admin or Owner role in your company
- Partner's company slug or search their business name
The company you're linking with doesn't need an Ultra plan—they just need a Hydra account.
Sending a Link Request
- Navigate to Company → Network
- Click Add Partner
- Search for the company by name or enter their company slug
- Review the company details
- Add an optional message explaining the partnership
- Click Send Request

What to Include in Your Message
A good link request message includes:
- How you know or found them
- Why you want to partner
- What type of work you'd refer
Example:
"Hi! We're an auto repair shop that often gets overflow detailing work. We'd love to partner with you to refer customers for detailing services."
Receiving Link Requests
When another company requests to link with you:
- You'll receive a notification in your dashboard
- An email is sent to company admins
- The request appears in Company → Network → Pending Requests

Reviewing a Request
- Go to Company → Network → Pending Requests
- Click on the request to view details
- See the requesting company's:
- Business name and description
- Location
- Services offered
- Their message to you
- Choose to Accept or Decline

Accepting a Link Request
When you accept a request:
- Click Accept on the request
- Optionally add a welcome message
- The link is established immediately
- Both companies appear in each other's network

Declining a Link Request
If the partnership isn't right for you:
- Click Decline on the request
- Optionally provide a reason (private, not shared)
- The requesting company is notified
- They cannot send another request for 30 days

Your Network Dashboard
Once you have linked companies, your network dashboard shows:
- Active Partners - Companies you're currently linked with
- Pending Requests - Incoming requests awaiting your response
- Sent Requests - Outgoing requests you've initiated
- Network Stats - Jobs referred, received, and completed

Best Practices
- Start small - Link with a few trusted partners first
- Communicate expectations - Discuss referral processes upfront
- Review regularly - Audit your network quarterly
- Keep information updated - Ensure your company profile is current
Troubleshooting
Can't find a company?
- Verify they have a Hydra account
- Check the spelling of their company name
- Ask them for their company slug directly
Request not received?
- Check the spam/notification settings
- Ensure admin notifications are enabled
- Ask them to check Pending Requests
