Managing Network Partnerships

Once you've established company links, effective partnership management ensures smooth collaboration. Learn how to maintain, utilize, and when necessary, end business partnerships.

Viewing Partner Details

Access detailed information about any linked company:

  1. Go to CompanyNetwork
  2. Click on a partner company card
  3. View their complete profile:
    • Business description and services
    • Contact information
    • Operating hours
    • Link history and statistics

Partnership Statistics

Track the health of each partnership:

Metric Description
Jobs Referred Work you've sent to them
Jobs Received Work they've sent to you
Link Duration How long you've been partners
Last Activity Most recent referral or communication

Referring Work to Partners

When you have work suited for a partner:

  1. Open the service job or booking
  2. Click Refer to Partner
  3. Select the partner company
  4. Add notes about the referral
  5. Click Send Referral

The partner receives a notification and can accept or decline the referral.

Receiving Referred Work

When a partner refers work to you:

  1. You'll receive a notification
  2. Go to Service JobsReferrals
  3. Review the job details
  4. Click Accept to take the job
  5. Or click Decline with a reason

Accepted referrals automatically create a service job in your system with all the relevant details pre-filled.

Communication with Partners

Keep in touch with your network:

Quick Messages

  • Click the Message icon on any partner card
  • Send updates about referrals or general inquiries
  • Messages appear in both companies' notification centers

Contact Information

  • View phone, email, and address on partner profiles
  • Reach out directly for urgent matters

Updating Partnership Settings

Customize how you interact with each partner:

  1. Open the partner's detail page
  2. Click Partnership Settings
  3. Configure options:
    • Auto-accept referrals - Skip approval for trusted partners
    • Notification preferences - How you're alerted about their activity
    • Visibility level - What they can see about your company

Revoking a Partnership

Sometimes partnerships need to end. To unlink a company:

  1. Go to CompanyNetwork
  2. Find the partner you want to unlink
  3. Click the More menu (three dots)
  4. Select Revoke Partnership
  5. Confirm your decision

What Happens When You Revoke

  • The link is removed immediately
  • Both companies are notified
  • Active referrals continue until completed
  • Historical data (past referrals) is preserved
  • Neither company can see the other's private details
  • A 90-day cooldown before re-linking

Before You Revoke

Consider these steps first:

  • Communicate issues directly with the partner
  • Give them opportunity to address concerns
  • Complete or cancel any pending referrals
  • Export any data you need for records

Re-establishing a Partnership

After the cooldown period, you can re-link:

  1. Either company can send a new request
  2. Follow the standard linking process
  3. Previous history is not restored

Network Health Tips

Regular Reviews

  • Quarterly: Review partnership activity
  • Check for inactive partnerships
  • Update your company profile information

Maintain Communication

  • Respond promptly to referrals
  • Keep partners informed about changes
  • Share feedback on referred work

Quality Over Quantity

  • Focus on meaningful partnerships
  • Better to have 5 active partners than 50 dormant ones
  • Remove links that don't add value

Troubleshooting

Partner not responding to referrals?

  • Check if they're still active on Hydra
  • Reach out via direct contact info
  • Consider if the partnership is still viable

Referral stuck in pending?

  • Contact the partner directly
  • Set an expiration date on future referrals
  • Cancel and reassign if no response
