Upgrading or Downgrading Your Plan
Your business needs change over time. Hydra makes it easy to adjust your subscription plan whenever you need more (or fewer) features.
Upgrading Your Plan
When you need more features or capacity, upgrading is instant.
How to Upgrade
- Go to Settings → Subscription
- Click Change Plan
- Select a higher-tier plan
- Review the changes and new pricing
- Click Upgrade Now
- New features are available immediately

What Happens When You Upgrade
- Immediate access to all new features
- Prorated billing - You only pay the difference for the current period
- No data loss - All your existing data remains intact
- Team limits expand automatically

Upgrade Pricing Example
If you upgrade mid-cycle:
- Current plan: Starter at $29/month (15 days remaining)
- New plan: Plus at $79/month
- You pay: ~$25 prorated difference for remaining days
- Next month: Full Plus price of $79
Downgrading Your Plan
Need to reduce costs? You can downgrade to a lower tier.
How to Downgrade
- Go to Settings → Subscription
- Click Change Plan
- Select a lower-tier plan
- Review the feature changes
- Click Downgrade
- Changes take effect at the next billing cycle

What Happens When You Downgrade
- Access continues until current period ends
- New limits apply at next billing cycle
- No refunds for unused time on current plan
- Data preserved but some features become read-only
Before You Downgrade
Check these potential impacts:

| Multiple workspaces (Ultra → Plus) | Must archive extra workspaces |

| Company network links | Links preserved but management disabled |

Handling Limit Overages
If you exceed your new plan's limits:
Team Members
- Go to Settings → Team
- Remove members until within limit
- Then complete the downgrade
Workspaces
- Go to Settings → Workspaces
- Archive or delete extra workspaces
- Then complete the downgrade

Canceling Your Subscription
If you need to cancel entirely:
- Go to Settings → Subscription
- Click Cancel Subscription
- Select a reason (helps us improve)
- Confirm cancellation

After Cancellation
- Access continues until period ends
- Data retained for 30 days after expiration
- You can resubscribe anytime to restore access
- Export your data before cancellation if needed
Reactivating After Cancellation
Changed your mind? Reactivate anytime:
- Log into your account
- Go to Settings → Subscription
- Click Reactivate
- Choose your plan
- Complete payment
All your data is restored if within the 30-day retention period.
