Viewing and Filtering Activities

The activity log can contain hundreds or thousands of entries. Use the filtering tools to quickly find what you're looking for.

Accessing the Activity Log

  1. Click Company in the main navigation
  2. Select your company
  3. Click Settings in the sidebar
  4. Select Activity Log

Activity Stats Overview

At the top of the page, you'll see summary statistics:

  • Today's Activities - Actions recorded today
  • This Week - Total for the current week
  • By Category - Breakdown by activity type

Search Activities

Use the search bar to find activities by:

  • Action descriptions
  • User names
  • Related content

Type your search term and press Enter or click the search icon.

Filter by Category

Click the Category dropdown to filter by type:

  1. Click Category in the filter bar
  2. Select one or more categories
  3. Results update automatically

Available categories:

  • Bay Operations
  • Service Jobs
  • Members
  • Settings
  • Bookings
  • Forms
  • Network
  • Permissions

Filter by User

See activities from a specific team member:

  1. Click User in the filter bar
  2. Select the team member
  3. View only their activities

This is useful for reviewing individual performance or investigating issues.

Filter by Date Range

Narrow down to a specific time period:

  1. Click Date Range filter
  2. Select start and end dates
  3. Apply the filter

Common ranges:

  • Today
  • Last 7 days
  • Last 30 days
  • Custom range

Sorting Activities

Change the order of results:

  1. Click the Sort dropdown
  2. Choose sort field:
    • Date - When it happened (default)
  3. Toggle ascending/descending with the arrow

Reading Activity Entries

Each activity entry shows:

  • Icon - Visual indicator of action type
  • Action - What happened (e.g., "Technician Checked In")
  • Description - Additional context
  • User - Who performed the action
  • Time - When it occurred
  • Duration - Time spent (for check-ins)

Combining Filters

Apply multiple filters together for precise results:

Example: Find all bay check-ins by John this week

  1. Set Category to "Bay Operations"
  2. Set User to "John Smith"
  3. Set Date Range to "This Week"
  4. Search for "check in"

Clearing Filters

To reset and see all activities:

  1. Click Clear Filters button
  2. All filters are removed
  3. Full activity list displays

Pagination

For large activity logs:

  • Results are paginated (15-25 per page)
  • Use pagination controls at the bottom
  • Page numbers show your position
  • Jump to first/last page with arrows

Tips for Effective Filtering

  • Start broad, then narrow - Begin with category, then add filters
  • Use date ranges - Limit to relevant time periods for faster loading
  • Combine with search - Filters + search gives the most precise results
  • Check "This Week" - Quick way to see recent activity
